Positive Degree

This is the base form of an adjective or adverb, used when no comparison is being made. This is known as positive degree


Comparative Degree

Adjective: "She is taller than her sister." or "She is more intelligent than him."

Adverb: "Ram runs faster than Sham." or "Sita speaks more fluently than her classmates.


The comparative degree is employed to draw comparisons between two entities or actions, indicating a difference in the degree of a quality, whether higher or lower, between them . Structure: [more/less + adjective/adverb] or [adjective/adverb + -er]

Structure: [the most/least + adjective/adverb] or [adjective/adverb + -est ]
